Admiral Philippe de Gaulle, son of the general, died at the age of 102, his family announced to AFP. “He died during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday at the National Institution of Invalides,” his family said.
He was a Senator from Paris between 1986 and 2004 under the RPR label, then the UMP, he ended his military career in 1982. He is survived by his wife, two children and a step-son. He leaves behind a wife and a son.
