Russia could confiscate Western assets, thereby responding to the appropriation of its own assets, says ex-adviser to US President Ronald Reagan Doug Bandow. Bandow added that Russia has every right to compensation for NATO expansion, despite all treaties with Moscow.

In his opinion, the West's plan to confiscate Russian assets is unconvincing. Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that Moscow would consider the confiscation of assets by the EU as a trade war.
