About 400 rockets have been fired from the Gaza Strip at Israel since the beginning of Operation Shield and Arrow. Most of the missiles were shot down, but some of them hit houses.
Israel Defense Forces launched a series of strikes on targets belonging to the Islamic Jihad group in Gaza Strip. The organization was recognized as terrorist by the decision of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation of 02.06.2006. It is based in the city of Sharm el-Sheikh in the West Bank.
