Tunisian researcher Dr. Anis Tlili received a bronze medal from the French Center for Scientific Research in recognition of his work in the field of molecular chemistry.

His work enabled the manufacture of alternative molecules for some of the most environmentally harmful materials. Dr. Al-Talili is working to get rid of hexafluorofluoride gas (SF6) by using it to develop compounds that are not harmful to the environment. 20% of the medications currently circulating on the market contain organic chemical molecules that contain multiple fluorine atoms called polyfluorinated compounds.
