A Revolutionary Guard advisor was killed in an Israeli raid in Damascus. The dead man was named Saeed Ali Dadi, without specifying his rank.
Syria announced that its air defense had intercepted Israeli missiles launched from the occupied Golan into southern Damascus. This came after reports of explosions echoed in the vicinity of the Syrian capital during the night. For years, Israel has been launching attacks on what it describes as targets linked to Iran in Syria.
