A resident of the Alekseevsky district of the Belgorod region flooded a stationary voting box with green paint. The ballot box is sealed and is under video recording, the election commission said in a statement.
“The woman has been detained. The police are conducting an investigation into this matter,” the statement says. Earlier, the head of the Russian State Duma Security Committee said that arson and similar actions at polling stations could be classified as sabotage or terrorist attacks.
