Opposition parties in Turkey are in a dispute over the number of seats each party will have in the new parliament. The two largest parties, the Republican People's Party (RPP) and the Nationalist Party (NPP), have agreed on a joint list of candidates.

The second party, the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), has refused to agree on a list of its own, saying it wants to be able to choose its own candidates. LDP leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu says he will not agree to the joint list until he has a majority of the vote.
