About 20 heads of state and government are meeting in Paris to reaffirm support for Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the number of Ukrainian soldiers killed in the war with Russia reached 31,000.
Meeting comes in light of the continued faltering of US aid due to Congressional opposition, which raises great concern in the European Union. Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said on Sunday that Ukraine is still confident that the United States will not abandon it in the face of Russia.
