[HIGHLIGHTS] A fatal traffic accident occurred at Hong Kong International Airport. A foreign staff member was hit by a plane and died.

A foreign aircraft towing operator was working on the west apron of the airport in the early morning of the 6th. He was suspected of falling out of the car and was hit by an airplane and died.

The 60-year-old driver of the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is currently being detained for investigation. It is currently unknown whether the victim was run over by the plane that was towed off the tarmac at the time, or was running over by other planes.
