A Chinese tour group was robbed by armed bandits on the R556 near Rustenburg on its way to a scenic spot in the North West Province of South Africa. There have been several cases of robberies involving foreign tourist tour groups on the road involved.
Travel agencies and other institutions and practitioners should take full responsibility and fully consider safety factors when designing the itinerary, routes and tourist locations.
