On Tuesday, President Emmanuel Macron unveiled a list of 16 new biomedical research centers in France. The Head of State announced the labeling of 12 new university hospital institutes (IHU) and four new "bioclusters" These newly labelled centres of excellence are scattered throughout the France, from Villejuif to Bordeaux, via Garches, Lyon and Marseille.
The Health Innovation 2030 plan, the health version of the "France 2030" plan, has a total budget of €7.5 billion.
