Russia’s spring military recruitment began on April 1, local time, with a regular service period of 12 months. The day before, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the Russian Federation's spring conscription order, which will conscript 150,000 people aged 18 to 30 for military service from April 1 to July 15.
All new recruits will be sent to serve in the armed forces corps and units and other permanent military bases in Russia, and will not participate in the execution of special military operations.
