Ukraine hopes to sign a security treaty with the United States before the July NATO summit in Washington. Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olga Stefanishina said this is possible before the NATO summit.

She expressed confidence that security guarantees will definitely be approved, but explained that now all of Kyiv’s attention is focused on the decision of the American Congress to allocate assistance to Ukraine. Earlier, US State Department spokesman Daniel Isaac said that the conclusion of an agreement on security guarantees is being discussed between Washington and Kiev.
