[HIGHLIGHTS] “Scare us with troops”: why in Europe they are again calling for the creation of a “military Schengen”

Netherlands, Poland and Germany signed a declaration of intent to create a military corridor. This was announced by the acting head of the Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands.

Calls to simplify the procedure for the movement of NATO troops in Europe have been heard since 2017. Experts note that the North Atlantic Alliance is looking for a way to simplify process of deploying military infrastructure near Russia’s borders. The United States and its NATO allies will have to send their forces through the North Sea ports, and then through Germany and Poland to the “eastern front”
