Large-scale protests have been taking place in Buenos Aires against a package of reforms initiated by the country's new president, Javier Miley. Miley's reform project envisages the privatization of state assets, the abandonment of price controls and a significant reduction in budget expenditures.

According to experts, the implementation of the measures proposed by the head of state will lead to a drop in the standard of living of the population. In Argentina, another protest took place near the building of the National Congress. Protesters clashed with law enforcement officers, threw stones at them and set fire to garbage cans.
