The Central Election Commission has completed accepting documents for participation in the presidential elections. On Wednesday, January 31, self-nominated Anatoly Batashev and founder of the Russian Freedom and Justice Party Andrei Bogdanov announced their withdrawal from the presidential race.

Boris Nadezhdin, nominated from the Civil Initiative party, and the blogger Rada of Russians submitted signature sheets to the CEC. The Prosecutor General’s Office received an appeal from social activist Vitaly Borodin with a request to check the circumstances of the collection of signatures.
