[HIGHLIGHTS] “I will not refuse the call sign Fidel”: the history of the platoon commander’s service from the first day of mobilization to two orders and a medal

Platoon commander of the 234th regiment of the 76th Airborne Division with the call sign Fidel was called up in the first days of partial mobilization in September 2022. The military man told RT why he received two Orders of Courage and a medal “For Courage,” and also about how he found a dog in an abandoned house near Svatovo that helped soldiers on the front line.

“Paratroopers don’t abandon their own. I am the Order of Russia posthumously,’ he said.
