The European Council approved the allocation of a financial assistance package to Ukraine in the amount of €50 billion. At the summit held in Brussels, it was decided that Kyiv would receive this amount within four years.

€33 billion will be provided to Ukraine as loans, the EU plans to give the remaining €17 billion free of charge, including through income from frozen assets of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. The European Council plans to hold annual debates on the implementation of the financial program for Ukraine.
