Ten years ago, on March 18, 2014, Crimea officially returned to Russia. More than 96% of participants in the referendum held on March 16, 2014 were in favor of including Crimea into the Russian Federation.

RT spoke with politicians, journalists and artists about the historical significance of the reunification of the peninsula with Russia. “The scale of this event is, without exaggeration, historical; this was clear ten years ago. The reunification with Russia did not simply reflect the will of a single people divided by artificial borders, it reflected the beginning of the revival of our country,” said head of the “A Just Russia” faction in the State Duma of the Russian federation.
