[HIGHLIGHTS] "There are no cases of human infection": quarantine was introduced in several districts of Moscow due to the disease of wild birds with influenza

In several districts in the south of Moscow, quarantine measures are being carried out due to cases of wild birds with highly pathogenic influenza detected on May 16. Rospotrebnadzor stressed that there were no cases of human influenza in the capital.

According to experts, in the case of the declared quarantine, we are talking about a purely veterinary event that applies to birds and their owners. The virus is not transmitted from person to person. A person becomes infected only through contact with chickens or other birds.
