The Supreme Court of Russia put an end to the case of an 86-year-old resident of Ufa, Fathulla Iskhakov, about whom RT wrote. The man was convicted in 1959 and served 13 years.

During this time, he lost his family and, after his release, began life from scratch. The Supreme Court overturned the conviction and several subsequent verdicts, ruling that he was not involved in the crime and had the right to rehabilitation. It took him ten years to legally formalize his own innocence.
