On May 16, the Russian Armed Forces attacked deployment points, ammunition depots, weapons and Western military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The purpose of the strike has been achieved, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stressed.
At night, an air raid alert was announced throughout Ukraine. According to Ukrainian media, the explosions occurred in Kyiv and the Chernihiv region. The Russian Aerospace Forces shot down Su-24 and Su-25 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force in the areas of the settlements of Varvarovka and Krasnoarmeysk.
