Jack Teixeira must remain in custody until his trial, a federal judge rules. The 21-year-old is accused of leaking classified documents to the media.

He is charged with the unauthorized removal, storage and transmission of classified information and information on national defense. He faces up to 25 years in prison if found guilty of the charges and sentenced to up to 10 years in a US federal prison. The judge had to decide whether it could pose a threat to national security to temporarily release the National Guardsman.
