Researchers have succeeded in designing a new organic molecule that emits blue color in OLED screens. It will act as a shield that prevents energy loss, which is the main problem that screens suffer from. The new molecule's design is based on encapsulating blue emitters with insulating "alkylene" bands. This molecular design aims to eliminate energy loss in a process known as "Dexter energy transfer," which is named after Richard Dexter.
