The Saudi-Emirati coalition launched intense air strikes on Houthi sites in a new escalation of the conflict despite the escalation of the humanitarian crisis in Yemen amid an accelerating outbreak of epidemics, while Germany held Saudi Arabia a large part of the responsibility for what is going on in this war-torn country.
Local sources said that late Monday night, coalition aircraft bombed a Houthi camp in Al-Bayda governorate, central Yemen.
Hours earlier, the Houthi group announced that the coalition had carried out 24 raids on its sites in the Majzar district of Ma'rib Governorate, east of the capital, Sanaa.
In turn, the Saudi-Emirati coalition announced that it had intercepted and shot down the two planes launched by the Houthis from Yemen towards Saudi Arabia.
A coalition spokesman, Turki al-Maliki, said that the Houthis launched the two planes towards the city of Khamis Mushait in the Asir region, southwest of Saudi Arabia.
Al-Maliki added that the Houthis continue to violate international humanitarian law by launching drones and deliberately targeting civilians as well as population gatherings, as he put it.
And he considered that what the Houthi group had done was an affirmation of its rejection of the ceasefire initiative announced by the coalition unilaterally on the ninth of last April, which the Houthis said was a dead letter, stressing that the continuation of the blockade means the continuation of the war that has been going on for more than five years .

politically, German delegate to the United Nations Christoph Heusgen said that Saudi Arabia bears a lot of responsibility for what is going on in Yemen of war and humanitarian crises, at a time when international organizations confirm that the health system in the country collapsed amid the spread of the Corona virus and other epidemics.
Heusgen added in remarks to the island that his country does not sell weapons to Saudi Arabia, and believes that there is no military solution to the conflict in Yemen.
He continued that today, Tuesday, a donors' conference will be held on Yemen, and he said that Saudi Arabia should contribute significantly to what the conference will offer to help the Yemenis.
Aden protests
On the other hand, medical sources announced the death of 61 people in Aden governorate within one day as a result of the spread of epidemics, including dengue fever, malaria and Corona virus.
The circle of protests over the deterioration of services in the governorate under the control of the so-called Transitional Council supported by the UAE has expanded to include several regions that have witnessed demonstrations protesting the deterioration of services and the continuous blackout.
Witnesses said that hundreds of people went on continuous demonstrations from Sunday afternoon until late at night in the cities of Mansoura, Crater and Sheikh Othman. The demonstrators chanted against the legitimate government and the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council, which controls the city.
Aden suffers from poor services, and a continuous blackout of up to 18 hours per day in light of high temperatures, and the spread of epidemics and diseases.
Also, during the past weeks, there were protests against the deterioration of services, the control of the transitional council over the city, and its failure to allow the government to return to face the catastrophic situation resulting from the spread of epidemics, following the floods that struck the region last April, in addition to the spread of Corona.
The transitional council failed to stop the protest, despite its resorting to force on May 22, resulting in the death of one of the protesters and a number of wounded.
And the Southern Transitional Council announced last April 26 what it called self-management in the southern governorates, which was met with regional and international rejection.
