On Thursday evening, the police announced that the apartment in Halmstad municipality had been cordoned off earlier in the day and that a technical investigation had been carried out.
- We get calls from people who are worried about the woman, so we go to the address and break in, that's when she is found dead, says police spokesperson Hans-Jörgen Ostler.
The police are now working further to find out what happened to the woman, a preliminary investigation into murder has been launched.
No one has been arrested or suspected.
Relatives have been notified.
