Kobe Bryant, the late Los Angeles Lakers star, killed in a helicopter crash in January, will be among the three NBA stars to appear on the cover of the NBA 2K21 video game, the title editor said on Thursday.
Bryant, five-time NBA champion and 18-time All-Star, died at the age of 41 with his daughter Gianna and seven others in the California crash.
The "Black Mamba" will appear on the jacket of an edition which will be specially dedicated to it with exclusive content, dubbed "Mamba Forever".
Bryant, twice voted best player in the NBA Finals and best player in the regular season in 2008, has already been on the cover of the NBA 2K10 and NBA 2K17 Legend editions of the game.
Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard on PS4 and Xbox One and New Orleans Pelicans "rookie" Zion Williamson on PS5 and Xbox Series X will also appear on the jackets for two other editions of NBA 2K21, the previous version of which was the Best-selling video game in the United States in 2019.
