On the afternoon of the 19th, the second day of the Chuseok holiday, national highways continue to be congested in both directions.



According to the Korea Expressway Corporation, as of 5:30 p.m. on the Gyeongbu Expressway, cars are moving slowly in the section near Cheonan Rest Area to Nami Junction and 5 km from Osan to Namsa.



The direction of Seoul is congested in the 7km section from Yangjae to Banpo and 5km from the Anseong rest area to the Namsa area.



On the Seohaean Expressway in the direction of Mokpo, cars are not speeding in the 8km section from the Seopyeongtaek junction to the Seohaedaegyo Bridge, and in the direction of Seoul, congestion continues in the 9km section from the Dangjin vicinity to the Seohaedaegyo Bridge.



The Korea Highway Corporation estimated that if a car leaves the Seoul tollgate at 6 pm, it will take 5 hours to Busan, 4 hours to Daegu, 3 hours 20 minutes to Gwangju, and 2 hours 40 minutes to Gangneung.



It is expected that the congestion in the direction of returning home will be resolved between 8:00 pm and 9:00 pm, and the congestion on the direction of return will be resolved around 7:00 pm.
