The Prime Minister of Jordan was infected with the Corona virus... and his meeting with Sisi was cancelled

The Minister of State for Information Affairs, the official spokesman for the Jordanian government, Faisal Shboul, announced that Prime Minister Dr. Bishr Al-Khasawneh was infected with the Corona virus today, Monday, while he was on an official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Al-Shaboul indicated that the result of the examination conducted by the Prime Minister today after presiding over the meetings of the Jordanian-Egyptian Joint Higher Committee with his Egyptian counterpart, Mustafa Madbouly, appeared positive, with no symptoms accompanying the infection.

Al-Shboul pointed out that the Prime Minister's visit program was modified in light of this, and the official meetings that were scheduled were canceled, including the meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, which was to convey an oral message from King Abdullah II to the Egyptian President.

Al-Shboul revealed that the Prime Minister will be subject, upon his return, to home isolation, according to the established health protocol.
