Like other high school students in the capital, the students of the Lycée Colbert, in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, decided this Tuesday morning to block the entrance to their establishment to denounce in particular the absence of measures against the coronavirus and the impossibility to respect social distancing.

Blockages have been noted in particular by several journalists in the east of the capital, in particular in the Hélène-Boucher and Maurice-Ravel high schools, regularly at the forefront of social mobilizations in Paris.

The police quickly intervened and clashes broke out particularly at Colbert high school.

"Crush them", "gauze them"

After moments of tension, the police used tear gas and did not hesitate to charge the high school students.

Some were nested against a wall.

Journalists were also victims of tear gas.

"Crush them", "gauze them", launches in particular a police officer to some journalists.

Calm slowly began to return after 11 o'clock.

And all the high schools have been unlocked.

"There was a very great reactivity of the heads of establishments and the police forces", indicates the rectorate to Franceinfo.
