The number of people in need of protection that each municipality is given responsibility for arranging housing for is based on a calculation that will make the reception even and fair.

Factors that are taken into account include the municipality's population, labor market, total reception of newly arrived and unaccompanied children and how many asylum seekers are already in the municipality.

Tyresö goes from 0 to 125

During the year, Tyresö municipality will arrange accommodation for 125 people.

All will be offered housing at the former nursing home Björkbacken, which is now being converted into long-term housing for refugees.

- For two weeks now, we have been offering apartments to families who have established themselves in Tyresö but who do not have the opportunity to stay in their host families, says Catrin Ullbrand, deputy head of Tyresö municipality and coordinator for the refugee reception.

Join Björkbacken where 15 families have moved in: "It is good that there are many other children here".
