Apple intends to provide a large number of new updates for iPhone and iPad devices with the upcoming operating systems versions, “iOS 16” and “iPadOS 16”, which the company is expected to announce. Changes made to the iPhone include updates to notifications, messages and the Health app.

The CNBC report says that Apple will add new items to the lock screen with support for "unlocked" screens on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro.
