Members of the Emirati Youth Orchestra sent a message calling for peaceful coexistence, renunciation of violence and intolerance, and an end to conflicts and wars in the world, and stressed that Expo 2020 Dubai is an effective platform for communication with all cultures of the world, in order to spread the values ​​of tolerance and love among people.

This came in press statements by a number of children participating in the Emirates Youth Orchestra, on the sidelines of their participation in the art exhibition, which was organized by the United Nations pavilion in the Opportunity Hall, as part of Expo 2020 Dubai, on the occasion of the celebration of the 76th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations.

The exhibition comes within the framework of the United Nations efforts to coordinate international efforts to overcome global challenges such as the “Covid-19” pandemic, climate change, achieve sustainable development goals, renounce violence and extremism, resist all forms of racism, and call for peaceful coexistence.

Sarah Chatila, Communications and Campaigns Officer at the Office of the United Nations Resident Coordinator in the UAE, said: “The mega international event (Expo 2020 Dubai) is indeed a more than wonderful opportunity for the United Nations to organize this major art exhibition, which includes a list of paintings and photographs. By a large number of professional artists and photographers from 130 countries from around the world, to convey a realistic image to the visitors of the international event, and to introduce them to the crucial issues of concern to the United Nations.

For his part, director and conductor of the Emirati Youth Orchestra, Riyad Qudsi, said: “The Emirates Youth Orchestra was established in 1994, and it has a rich history in national, charitable and humanitarian events locally, regionally and globally. During 2004, we established the Emirates Music Festival for Peace, especially since music is a global language The peoples of the world gather,” stressing that “the Emirati Youth Orchestra includes about 60 musicians of different ages, and it represents peaceful coexistence within the United Arab Emirates through music.”

Qudsi revealed the existence of a future plan to establish a national symphony orchestra within the UAE, to embrace talented youth and children, as the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development is intensifying its efforts to search for talented citizens in the musical field, to become the nucleus of the National Symphony Orchestra in the country during the coming period, calling on parents It is necessary for citizens to encourage their children to learn music, to be active members of this orchestra in the future.

Child Arab Dayal, from India and a member of the Emirati Youth Orchestra, said: “I am sending a message to the world through (Expo 2020 Dubai) to accelerate the establishment of peace between different countries of the world, and to spread the values ​​of love and tolerance among all human beings, and I hope that parents teach music to their children. Because it is the path to peaceful coexistence among nations.

His colleague, the child Linus Kiasen, from Japan, said: "I hope that we have succeeded in conveying an important message to the world through this great international forum, which is that peace and love prevail all over the world for the welfare and advancement of mankind."
