The driver engaged in a chase with the police on Tuesday in Quimper (Finistère) and his passenger were presented to the prosecutor's office in Brest (Finistère) on Thursday.
Their referral corresponded to the end of their police custody.

Bikers and police cars had chased them.
The driver had taken one-way traffic and driven in the opposite direction.
During the chase, a police officer fired two shots.
A commissioner later explained that the officer had acted "in self-defense" after being "extremely surprised" by the vehicle of the getaways rushing towards him.
