Emil Lindgren is one of Sweden's foremost mountain bikers.

He belonged to the organizing club IKHP between the years 2004 and 2009 and when the Huskvarna Mountainbike Tour was ridden this weekend, he was back on well-known ground.

- I feel at home here so it was super fun to come back, says Emil Lindgren.

Attracted international skiers

Huskvarna Moutainbike Tour is one of nine races in the nationwide SWE Cup XCO 2022. In Huskvarna, one race was run per day Thursday to Saturday.

On Thursday, a "hill prologue" was run, a shorter race up a long hill.

On Friday, it was a regular race with a ride time of about 1.5 hours for the elite cyclists.

And on Saturday, a shorter course of just over 20 minutes was run.

The Swedish elite has been in place all day.

Friday's competition generated seeding points in the World Cup, which also attracted international skiers to the tour.

- I know what a job it is to arrange a competition like this, the highest rating for the organizers, says Emil Lindgren.
