Scientists have identified a new dangerous strain of COVID-19

This variant of COVID-19 was named B.1.1.529.

In total, the new strain was detected in ten people: three cases in Botswana, six in South Africa and one in Hong Kong, where B.1.1.529 was detected in a traveler returning from South Africa.

Scientists clarify that the new strain may further spread the coronavirus among more people.

At the same time, experts said that there is no reason for concern so far.
