According to reports, Zakharova stated in a comment on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, “NATO plans to hold 7 joint exercises with multiple countries in Ukraine in 2021. At the same time, NATO’s national forces are close to the Russian border in Ukraine and the Black Sea. Activities in the zone have increased.” She pointed out that Kiev has been sending more troops and weapons to the Donbass line of contact.
Zakharova stated that the reconnaissance activities carried out by foreign military aircraft and radio electronic equipment along the Russian border and the Donbass contact line on the Ukrainian side are very active.
Zakharova added, “NATO countries continue to provide Ukrainian armed forces with financial and material logistical support, provide lethal weapons, and dispatch Western instructors to train Ukrainian soldiers.”
Recently, the situation in eastern Ukraine has become tense. Uzbek government forces and civilian armed forces accused each other of opening fire and provocation.
