RBC: Russians brought record amounts of foreign currency abroad in June

It is noted that in June 2022, Russian citizens placed 266.1 billion rubles ($4.7 billion) in foreign currency on accounts and deposits in foreign banks.

In total, as of July 1, Russian households kept 2.29 trillion rubles in foreign banks.

Earlier, Candidate of Economic Sciences Artyom Golubev, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics at the North-Western Institute of Management of the RANEPA, in a conversation with the Economics Today FBA, allowed the dollar to rise above 80 rubles in the second half of the year.
