“In my opinion, the main thing is multipolarity,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying during a speech at the headquarters of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service.

Putin added that multipolarity means, first of all, freedom.

“The freedom of countries and peoples, their natural right to their own path of development, to preserve their originality and uniqueness,” the Russian leader noted.

Putin stressed that in such a model of the world order there can be no place for diktat, as well as for the ideas of the exclusivity of individual countries or some blocs.

Earlier, the President of Russia announced his intention to dedicate one of his public speeches to an analysis of the development of the current situation in the world.
