President Moon Jae-in, who is attending the G7 summit, attended the first expanded meeting on the topic of health and announced that he would provide $200 million this year and next year to supply COVID-19 vaccines to developing countries.



President Moon said, "We will donate 100 million dollars this year to the 'COVax Advance Purchase Promise Mechanism', which supplies vaccines to developing countries with donated funds from advanced countries, and additionally provide another 100 million dollars in cash or in kind next year."



President Moon also emphasized that "Korea can play a role as a global vaccine hub to expand vaccine supply," adding, "We will seek vaccine partnerships with other G7 countries as well as the United States."
