Den 24 januari kommer man kunna besöka kontaktcenter i sjukhusbyggnadens nya entré. Provtagningscentral, fotvård, café och kiosk öppnas. Därefter ska alla tio avdelningar, bland dem IVA och kvinnokliniken, flytta in i det nya huset. Tanken är att husets alla verksamheter ska vara på plats i början av april.
– Det här är en så kallad länkbyggnad, så det kommer att bli enklare att komma både till det gamla huset och till den så kallade hundraåringen, säger Mathias Hjelte, förvaltare för Nyköpings lasarett.
Budget och tidsplan hålls
The new hospital building is part of Region Sörmland's project Future Hospital.
The project has previously been criticized for high expenses.
According to Mathias Hjelte, the construction of the new entrance has so far remained within the framework of the set budget.
- As it looks right now, we will keep the budget at just under SEK 400 million and fascinatingly enough, given this pandemic and problems with purchasing materials, we have actually kept to the schedule, says Mathias Hjelte.
One of two houses is ready
The new building is one of two planned for Nyköping's hospital.
The second house with a new emergency room, operating room and a sterile storage room will be ready by the turn of the year.
- Now we will also go into existing premises and renovate.
We expect to be ready with everything sometime in 2024 or 2025, says Mathias Hjelte.
