Sweden is classified as a "high-risk area" within the EU, which means that travelers from Sweden are covered by the strictest rules.

Spain

In Spain, the usual rules apply in principle - everyone who is twelve years old or older must present a vaccination certificate, or a negative test result or a certificate of covid infection during the last six months.

For those who arrive by plane or boat, the requirement for a completed health declaration applies within 48 hours of arrival.

For those arriving by road, no health declaration is required, but the other rules apply.

There is no general shutdown so far, nor is there a requirement for mouth protection if you can keep a distance of 1.5 meters to other people.

On the other hand, it is possible for local places to introduce their own infection control measures, such as curfews.

There are also local rules on bar opening hours.

Thailand

Since November 1, fully vaccinated Swedes do not have to be quarantined.

However, you must book a special lock hotel the first night, and that includes a PCR test.

Everyone who travels to Thailand must obtain a so-called Thailand passport, where you declare vaccine proof, passport, that you have enough capital for the trip and booking the first hotel night at a lock hotel.

Unvaccinated travelers must apply for an entry permit and be quarantined for up to eleven nights in a quarantine hotel (which the traveler pays for).

Oral protection requirements both outdoors and indoors in certain regions.

There are also night curfews in some provinces, but in many popular destinations these have been lifted.

Austria

From 22 November, the country will face extensive closures with curfews around the clock in addition to the most necessary purchases, among other things.

The measures are valid for 20 days and are evaluated after ten days.

Anyone who wants to travel to England (the rules vary within the UK) must also test themselves as fully vaccinated.

The test must be booked and paid for before departure, and taken within two days of arrival.

This applies even if the stay is shorter than two days.

If the test should show positive, self-isolation applies for ten days.

Those who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons may still follow the same rules as those vaccinated.

Those who have chosen not to be vaccinated must be tested before departure and then on the spot.

After that, they will self-insulate for ten days.

USA

The rules vary at the state level, but there are some general points.

Anyone traveling to the USA by plane must both be vaccinated and be able to show a negative test result within three days before boarding the plane.

You must also fill in a health declaration.

Anyone who has not been vaccinated and is not covered by a documented exemption from vaccination cannot travel to the United States.

Switzerland

Switzerland differs slightly from other EU countries.

Those who have been vaccinated do not need to be tested before the trip.

For those who have not been vaccinated, it is enough to show a negative test result, and then you do not have to be quarantined, but test again after 4-7 days.

The infection situation has worsened in the country, so the rules regarding entry and testing may be worth keeping an eye on.

Once inland, there are restrictions and requirements for mouth protection and covidpass at certain activities such as restaurants, cinemas and fitness centers.

Costa Rica

Costa Rica is one of the destinations that does not require a certificate of either vaccination or PCR test.

Anyone who is unable to present a vaccination certificate must show that it is insured throughout the stay - an insurance that covers hospital care for covid-19 and any quarantine stay if necessary.
