"From 10 to 27 August, 1,870 people were vaccinated with the Russian Sputnik Light vaccine in Abkhazia," the Ministry of Health of the republic said in a Facebook post.
As of August 27, the total number of people infected with COVID-19 in Abkhazia is 24,952.
372 deaths were registered.

In early August, the head of the Abkhaz diaspora in Moscow (MAD) Beslan Agrba purchased five thousand doses of the Sputnik Light COVID-19 vaccine for the republic.
Last week, a 100-bed Russian mobile hospital arrived in Abkhazia from the Stavropol Territory to help patients with coronavirus infection.
