The direction of the Community of Madrid to subdue the coronavirus is firm: return to basic health areas.

This was expressed last night by the regional president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, after the conversation with the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, and confirmed by sources from the regional government this Friday.

"It is the only thing that the TSJM has admitted as a mobility restriction," say those same sources consulted by EL MUNDO.

That is the idea with which we work in Puerta de Sol and that will be the one proposed to the central Executive after the meeting that is taking place at the moment in the Royal Post Office with the presence of the president herself, the vice president, Ignacio Aguado, the councilors of Justice and Health, Enrique López and Enrique Ruiz Escudero, and the technical services of the Community of Madrid.

At that meeting, the order will be "finalized" that the regional government will place on the Moncloa table, which will have to make the decision whether to declare the state of alarm in the Community of Madrid or accept the regional offer in the extraordinary Council of Ministers called by Pedro Sánchez last night to study this proposal.

From the central Executive, three options were raised after this call that were transferred to the Community of Madrid: that the regional government as competent authority issue an order under the Law of Special Measures in Public Health, which requests the Executive to apply joint alarm status or direct application of that alarm status from Moncloa.

And, in these moments, everything is heading towards the last of the roads.

And it is that the positions on the measures to adopt to bend this second wave of the coronavirus in the capital continue to clash.

While the Community has an impact on basic health areas because, according to its data, it has allowed to reduce the number of infections, the Ministry of Health is committed to a perimeter closure of municipalities as it did last Friday through the Official State Gazette.

An action that was overthrown yesterday by the Superior Court of Justice of Madrid, nullifying this order of the department directed by Salvador Illa and allowing free movement in Madrid a few hours after the Hispanic Bridge begins.
