Hanover (dpa / lni) - The State Criminal Police Office (LKA) warns of fake vaccination passports, which have been in circulation in Lower Saxony for some time during the corona epidemic.
Not only the production and distribution, but also the use of such papers is punishable, the authority announced on Tuesday in Hanover.
The forged vaccination passports are yellow like the originals and, according to the LKA, are offered with a stamp, signature and alleged batch number of the corona vaccine.
According to the LKA, scammers advertise them on the Telegram messenger service.
The price is between 99 and 250 euros.
All larger cities would be offered as the location for the alleged vaccination.
An original confirmation of vaccination is currently only available via a vaccination certificate or a nationwide replacement certificate, emphasized the State Criminal Police Office.
Both are provided with the vaccine sticker, a stamp from the vaccination center and the signature of the attending physician.
The federal government wants to introduce a digital vaccination pass that documents the corona vaccinations in a forgery-proof manner.
