“On June 1, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will take part in a full-format meeting of the foreign ministers of the BRICS countries via videoconference,” she said during a weekly briefing.
According to Zakharova, during the event, the parties will exchange views on topical issues on the international agenda, such as regional conflicts, strengthening international institutions, as well as countering new international challenges and threats.
Earlier, Lavrov had a working lunch with his Icelandic colleague Goodluigur Thor Thordarson.
