suspended its former leader Jeremy Corbyn on Thursday for comments he made after a report said the party was responsible for unlawful harassment and discrimination in its handling of anti-Semitism allegations.
The Labor Party has been

The
British Equality and Human Rights Commission
(EHRC) released a document after evaluating
numerous complaints received since 2016 against the party
for alleged cases of anti-Semitism under the leadership of Jeremy Corbyn (head of the party between 2015 and 2020).
"In light of his comments today and his failure to subsequently recant, the Labor Party has suspended Jeremy Corbyn pending an investigation," the party said in a statement.
Jeremy Corbyn said that it was always his "determination" to
eliminate "all forms of racism"
and that the scope of anti-Semitism in the formation of the opposition has been
"dramatically exaggerated for political reasons

Following this report, the current Labor leader, Keir Starmer, said that this is "an embarrassing day" for the party and promised to "change the culture" of the party.

The commission, which ensures respect for human rights in the institutions, identified
"serious flaws" in the leadership's attempts to tackle problems of anti-Semitism

Specifically, it identified three violations of the equality law: political interference in hate complaints against Jewish members of the formation, failure to provide training to those in charge of handling complaints, and cases of harassment.
The commission's analysis
"points to a culture within the party that, at best, did not do enough to prevent anti-Semitism and, at worst, could be understood to accept it
," the released document said. It has caused great commotion.
The aforementioned commission launched an investigation in May last year after receiving a number of complaints, including from the so-called Jewish Labor Movement.
