In the final on Saturday, they will play for the gold medal against Argentina or France, who face each other in the evening in Tokyo (9:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. French) in the second semi-final.

Present in the semi-finals of the Games non-stop since the Atlanta Games in 1996, Russia will try to win a second Olympic title after the coronation of London in 2012 (the USSR won the Olympic tournaments in 1964, 1968 and 1980) .
