　　According to the decree, from February 15, all employees of public or private enterprises who are 50 years old or older must present proof of vaccination or proof of recovery when entering the workplace.

The decree, which applies to Italian citizens, foreign immigrants and freelancers, will last until at least June 15.

　　Violators are reported to be fined between 600 euros and 1,500 euros, doubled if they violate the rules again, and employers who fail to enforce the rules will be fined between 400 and 1,000 euros.

The rule applies to public officials such as healthcare workers, police, teachers, emergency services, and private sector employees.
