A “World Cuisines of the World Championship” is being held this weekend at Zone Sensible, the urban farm in Saint-Denis.
As part of the 48 hours of urban agriculture, and the Open Day of the Urban Farm of Seine-Saint-Denis, the collective of the Parti Poétique and the team of In 93 have joined forces to create this championship.
From 11:30 a.m. this Saturday, the inhabitants of the department will be able to take part in the competition to try to win meals in the initiative's partner restaurants, cooking classes at Zone Sensible, batches of dishes or even cooking tools.
The organizers hope above all to highlight the culinary wealth of the territory, with its diversity.
The championship consists of two competitions, which will end in September.
Young people from Seine-Saint-Denis, and cooking enthusiasts, can take part in the “Family recipe” competition.
They must be accompanied by a family member.
Another competition, called “Cooking and creation”, involves a duo between an artist and a professional cook, at least one of whom has links with the department.
They must create a dish from products from the department, to honor the "Made in Seine-Saint-Denis".
